Using the Toolbar
The toolbar is where you will select your annotation tools, adjust their settings, and dismiss annotations. The toolbar is located at the bottom of the screen on phones, and on the left on tablets. These toolbars cannot be moved.
The toolbar has layers. The top layer shows you the principal tool in each toolset. These tools have been grouped according to function. Then you select a tool from a tool set, it becomes the principle tool of the toolset. For example, if you tap the highlighter in the Text Markup toolset, then select the underline tool, the underline tool becomes the principle tool in the toolset.
Using a tool
In order to activate a tool and begin an annotation session, tap on a tool. The tool will expand the toolbar so you can see other tools in the toolset, and other controls such as undo/redo (where applicable). At the bottom of the expanded toolset will be a check mark. Tap the check mark to close the annotation session.
Changing a tool's properties
You can change the color, opacity, and size of tools by tapping on the tool in the tool bar while it is active. Tapping on an active tool will open a new popup window with the various properties you can control. When you have made the selections you want, tap anywhere outside the popup window and you may begin annotating.
